What a week… A hacked credit card (the bank sorted it, thank goodness), someone unwell at home, a garden in pieces, an EV and solar to negotiate, and a book manuscript to finish after nearly three years.
I wasn’t sure I’d get through it, but I did, one pause at a time. Hands on the steering wheel in a hospital car park, eyes closed, three long, slow breaths. Some doodling and colouring. Staring up at the clouds.
Tonight is a family dinner for four September birthdays, and I’m so excited to see my sister and nephew. But with someone unwell at home, I’m torn about whether to go, because I don’t want anyone in the family getting sick. I’m well, so fingers crossed I can make it.
If your week has been a lot too, you’re not failing. You’re carrying too much. What’s your pause when everything happens at once? Tell me in the comments. I’d love to know.
